G’day, I’m Kade.
I live in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, one hour out from Melbourne, Australia. Since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated with sound, and I just bloody love playing bass. I want you to experience my appreciation for music, and my love for audio.
I’m doing this for my inquisitive younger self.
That’s why I created a place to share my growing passion and to hopefully answer some of the seemingly never-ending questions musicians face throughout their journey.
This project is a result of over 20 years of obsessing with sound, music, video, bass playing, and the hurdles I have encountered through real-world experience.
Knowing what I was capable of and wanting to voice it, I dedicated my time to share my love for the physics of sound. This incorporates luthier work, playing music, audio engineering, live performance, selecting and understanding audio gear, video production and bass playing. I have documented this through a series of podcast and audio educational videos.
This is an accessible, transparent guide for music lovers to see what I do, and to understand how I made it possible.

The first time I completely blew out on music I was 12.
I was sitting in a poolside villa in Bali listening to my discman. This was the first time I really ‘heard’ rhythm.
From that moment on, the way I experienced sound would become an obsession and music would be my life.
Rhythm came naturally to me, so I started out playing drums, but at 16 I slipped up some stairs and broke my leg badly.
I was horizontal for months; this is when I picked up the bass.
I have been lucky to play live shows, record in multiple studios, create videos, and collaborate on custom bass builds with renowned luthiers over the world.
I’ve spent over 20 years living my passion and refining my craft.
