DAVE MATHEWS BAND - THE BEST OF WHAT’S AROUND - BASS COVER

G’day Legends! I’m stoked to be delivering this video.

Around 20 years ago, I was shown this track by a friend on the Gold Coast, Australia. Dave Matthews Band has always blown my mind; I find them very musical and tasteful. I received the stems for this track a few years ago and have been working on the parts and delivery since. It’s great to be back in the Box Hill studio here in Melbourne — has been a while between drinks.

Filmed by Dave Hunter – Band Factory Media. We have a great working relationship and seem to understand each other’s roles extensively.

I love the bass tone, using my Sadowsky and freshly acquired Gallien-Krueger amplification.

Both brands have acknowledged this video with comments and shares, and I’m proud of the musicality in my playing. There are no smoke and mirrors here; I worked on my parts for months. The outro really took some work. Pushing my bass playing and teaching is a rewarding journey.
