G’day Legends! I’m stoked to be delivering this video.

Phil Collins is a legend, and this is one of the best chorus basslines in history. It’s also my first full-length YouTube video for kadeturner.com.

The cover was previously filmed in my old Bentleigh East studio. I just wasn’t digging the visual and didn’t think it represented what potential it should have had.

You are witnessing months and months of planning, writing, creativity, and recording. I shall proceed to give everything within the project my all.

Finding a videographer guru to do ongoing work is like trying to find the right band members. It’s either going to work out really well, or it’s not. This process taught me a lot about people, and myself. I filmed this cover with Daniel Nolan, in my lounge room of where I live in the Dandenong Ranges, Australia. In my opinion, he has done an awesome job on this as a whole, capturing the whole aesthetic and vibe that I feel it deserved.

The bass was recorded by Julian Meyer, and the audio was mixed by myself and Dylan Mitrovich. I’m stoked with the tone and the mix.

I have a lot of respect for the original track. There’s a slight spin of my own with the playing, but it’s pretty close to how Nathan East recorded it back in the ’90s.

A strong start for the project.
