G’day Legends! I’m stoked to be re-delivering this video.

I believe I wrestled with the intro for a good half a day of back-and-forth working out intervals, chords, melodies, and layers until I reached what I have. Although it's only the 4th and 8th chords I'm changing, how they work in melodically and theoretically with Justin and Adam sounds great to me.

Schism is an amazing masterpiece. I saw Rick Beato's breakdown of "Schism" in his What Makes This Song Great? and it sparked me to do the same. The Bbmaj7 chord is stunning.

Musical theory helps unlock doors for players. Do you need it to play riffs? Absolutely not, but it helps with musicality beyond this. I’m passionate about educating, like I am with tone. Sometimes the small changes make the bigger difference.

Filmed in my home studio in The Basin, Australia, I loved making this series. Using my 2008 custom Corvette with DR Strings, this thing sounds amazing. I'm in full nerd mode with this breakdown series.
